MCHINJI DISTRICT EDUCATION MANAGER HAS WARNED AGAINST CHEATING MALPRACTICE DURING EXAMS AS STANDARD EIGHT PUPILS HAVE STARTED WRITING THEIR EXAMS

Mchinji district Education Manager Mr. Alfred Hawuya has warned standard 8 pupils and teachers against cheating as the pupils have started writing their Malawi primary school leaving certificate examinations.
Speaking in an interview with Mudziwathu Mr. Hawuya said in order to make sure that the malpractice is arrested  teachers who are invigilating the exams were trained on how to handle examinations well.
He said the cluster system will also help as two or three schools are writing examination at one place and it will be difficult for teachers and pupils to cheat since they will fear that their friends can reveal.
Mr. Hauya further said Police officers have also been deployed in various centers so as to strengthen the security and asked the invigilators to at almost avoid assisting pupils in writing the exams.
7387 pupils are expected to seat for primary school leaving certificate examinations in Mchinji district this year.
